1. To procure spares & Consumables of inventory / Expense class items-
Procurement to be based on competitive bidding by minimum 2-3 suppliers.
2. Cost Reduction & saving on it- To reduce the cost of spares/ Consumable/
Packing by employing effective methods based on R/M cost & operational costs
study and other purchasing tools.
3. Development of Alternate Sources- To Locate new sources so as to create
healthy competition among suppliers.
4. On-time deliveries of Inventory & Expense class materials- To ensure
timely deliveries for the un-interrupted flow of production cycle in order to
maintain our customer schedules.
5. Ensure timely payment to suppliers- To maintain mkt reputation, suppliers
confidence & for smooth functioning of future transactions, timely payments to
suppliers are taken care of.
6. TQM Activities- To perform every activity in a TQM way i.e in a
structured, planned & strategic way. Work on Gap analysis & their
countermeasures for every variances.
7. Weekly & Monthly reviews- Periodical reviews of performances, KPIs, issues
& to report them in MCMs.
8. Statutory Compliance- Check & ensure that vendors are Complying with legal
requirements of the State, as relating to buying.
