BA Continuum India Pvt. Ltd. supports business process, information technology and knowledge process across Consumer Banking, including Card and Home Loans, Legacy Asset Servicing, Global Banking and Markets, and Global Wealth and Investment Management lines of business at Bank of America.
Global Wholesale Banking Technology (GWBT) comprises of technology for Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Customers of Bank of America across the globe. The team works closely with the business and strategic partners to architect, design and develop applications for the Global Wholesale Banking Line of Business.
Job Description (Overview of Role)
Overall the Business Analyst acts as a bridge between the Business and Technology groups working closely with Change Managers, Product/Client managers, Operations and Technology streams to obtain requirements and ensure the development process correctly incorporates them in system build and/or process change. The Business Analyst proactively ensures correct requirements/scope definition and that the technology delivery meets the key objectives of the product or change.
Help business and operations to identify and formulate change needs and Business Cases.
Assess the impact and scope of the change
Capture, analyse and document requirements for a given project.
Ensure IT and Operational teams fully understand the requirements, scope and objectives through full collaboration and interactive process during the project lifecycle.
Liaise between the business units, technology teams, delivery and support teams to arrive at optimal solutions. Facilitate Walkthroughs for requirement and solution assessments.
Collaborate with Architects, Developers and Subject Matter Experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Assist in the production of RFIs and RFPs when tendering to vendors and external suppliers, and in the subsequent review and selection.
Ensure the requirements are delivered by IT and/or vendors as specified.
The development lifecycle is an iterative one and the Business Analyst must be involved from initial concept through to final implementation tracking that the design, build, testing and implementation meet the business product, functional, operational and performance requirements.
Assist Test Managers in formulating Test Strategy for the various test phases.
Review of Test Packs to ensure maximum coverage of functional requirements.
Support the business through the implementation process.
This can include support for: Communication Plans,
Installation and Process planning
Ensure correct use of enterprise-wide requirements definition/management systems, methodologies, toolkits and process standards throughout the project life-cycle.
Exp : 4-6 yrs
Ability to elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Must show experience and a good understanding of analysis tools and techniques.
Strong analytical and creative thinking skills, including thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Must have good skills on documentation, calculation, process and presentation tools.
Effective resource and relationship management skills.
Experience in International Banking. Payments, Deposit Account, Cash/Treasury Management preferred.
