Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate Senior Data Analyst + Senior Instructor to join our

faculty at Newton School of Technology / Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune. The ideal

candidate should have strong hands-on experience in data analytics, the ability to teach core

analytical concepts, and a deep understanding of industry trends. You will play a crucial role

in mentoring students, designing curriculum, and bridging the gap between academia and

real-world data analytics applications.

This is a Full-time academic role with Newton School of Technology X Ajeenkya

DY Patil University, Pune.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and deliver training sessions on data analytics, SQL, Python, R, Excel,

and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

● Create comprehensive learning materials, case studies, and hands-on projects.

● Guide students in real-world analytics projects and problem-solving.

● Conduct live classes, webinars, and interactive sessions for learners of different

levels.

● Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into course content.

● Provide mentorship and career guidance to students pursuing a career in data

analytics.

● Assess student progress, provide feedback, and suggest improvements.

Qualifications/ Experience:

✔️Bachelor’s/Master’s/Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer

Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

✔️Industry Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics,

Business Intelligence, or Data Science in an industry setting.

✔️Teaching Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching/training experience in data

analytics at a university, bootcamp, or corporate training level.

✔️Communication & Mentorship: Ability to explain complex concepts clearly, mentor

students, and provide career guidance.

Must-Have Skills:

- SQL & Advanced SQL – Joins, CTEs, Window Functions, Stored Procedures, Query
- Optimization.
- Python for Data Analysis – Pandas, NumPy, data wrangling, automation.
- Data Visualization – Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly
- Statistics & Probability – Descriptive & Inferential Stats, Hypothesis Testing.
- A/B Testing & Experiment Design – Statistical significance, control vs. treatment.
- Data Cleaning & Preprocessing – Handling missing data, feature engineering.
- Excel & Spreadsheets – Data manipulation, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

Good-to-Have Skills:

- Machine Learning (No-Code/Low-Code) – AutoML, Google Vertex AI, DataRobot.
- ETL & Data Pipelines – Extract, Transform, Load workflows.
- Big Data & Cloud Tools – Spark, AWS, GCP (Basics).

Soft Skills:

- Teaching & Mentorship – Making complex concepts simple.
- Communication – Clear explanation, engaging delivery.
