Job Description: Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Data Migration for ETHIX Core Banking Migration
Position Overview
We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the data mapping and transformation scripting efforts as part of a migration from the ETHIX Core Banking Solution to a modern core banking platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETHIX functionality, database schema, and operations. They must possess expertise in relational database management systems (RDBMS) , SQL , and ETL processes . This role is critical for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and seamless transformation throughout the migration process.
Key Responsibilities
Data Mapping
Analyze the ETHIX database schema and identify relationships between tables and fields.
Collaborate with business analysts to understand data requirements for the new core banking system.
Create detailed data mapping documents to ensure accurate transformation from ETHIX to the new platform.
Transformation Scripting
Develop and maintain transformation scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from ETHIX.
Ensure transformation logic aligns with the requirements of the target system.
Validate transformed data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
Work closely with technical teams, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Assist in identifying gaps between ETHIX and the new system and propose solutions.
Quality Assurance
Perform thorough testing and validation of transformation scripts to ensure data integrity during migration.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data mapping and transformation.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Document data mapping logic, transformation scripts, and migration processes.
Provide knowledge transfer and training to team members as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree
Technical Expertise :
Strong understanding of relational database concepts (RDBMS).
Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and optimization.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools and techniques.
Expertise in scripting languages for data transformation (e.g., PL/SQL, )
ETHIX Expertise :
In-depth knowledge of ETHIX Core Banking Solution functionality and database schema.
Experience with ETHIX modules such as retail, corporate, treasury, and trade finance.
Other Skills :
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong attention to detail for data mapping and validation.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data migration projects involving ETHIX Core Banking Solution.
Familiarity with Islamic banking principles and financial operations.
Exposure to modern core banking platforms and migration methodologies.
Location : Remote Option
Experience Level : 3-5 Years
