Job Title: VP/SVP, M&A; Advisory - Strategic Transaction Origination & Execution
Opportunity:
Drive revenue and expand market share for a leading domestic investment bank through aggressive M&A; origination and flawless execution. Lead cross-functional deal teams, cultivate senior client relationships, and deliver comprehensive advisory services across a range of transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Origination: Identify and develop high-impact M&A; opportunities. Build and actively manage a substantial deal pipeline. Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to pinpoint strategic targets.
- Revenue Generation: Meet and exceed revenue targets through successful transaction closure. Structure and negotiate deals to optimize financial outcomes.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers. Serve as a trusted advisor on complex M&A; matters.
- End-to-End Execution: Direct all phases of M&A; transactions, including valuation, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and closing. Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Financial and Valuation Analysis: Perform sophisticated financial modeling, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable company, precedent transactions), and sensitivity analyses. Provide detailed reports and recommendations.
- Deal Structuring and Negotiation: Design and negotiate complex deal structures to meet client objectives. Lead negotiation efforts and manage legal documentation.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and develop high-performing deal teams. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct in-depth market and industry research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Provide strategic insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
Education:
- MBA in Finance or related field.
Experience:
- 8-12+ years of substantial experience in investment banking, M&A; advisory, or private equity, with a demonstrated track record of originating and closing complex transactions.
Skills:
- Proven ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
- Extensive network within the industry
