BA Continuum India Pvt. Ltd. supports business process, information technology and knowledge process across Consumer Banking, including Card and Home Loans, Legacy Asset Servicing, Global Banking and Markets, and Global Wealth and Investment Management lines of business at Bank of America.
Global Markets Operations &Middle Office provides operations support to the Global Markets Business of BAML. Key Business activities include back office and middle office operations related to securities, derivatives, futures, options, currencies (FX) and commodities. Key functions in the middle office include trade control, product control and balance sheet management. While in the operations groups the key functions are Trade Processing & settlement, Inventory Management, Cash Management, Asset Services, Collateral Management, Reconciliation, Client & Product Data management.
Process Overview*
FX Trade Control at BACI supports Front office (Traders / Sales) in APAC region. We are responsible to ensure operational T0 risk is managed, validate and monitor appropriate controls to mitigate business risks. Extend support to business partners on adhoc basis to resolve downstream system flow issues. We take pride in our proven track record for providing robust control while delivering innovative solutions to support new products and business growth.
Job Description*
Monitor T0 operational risk, extensively support Front office and ensure downstream system flow, includes system recons, NDF Rate Fixing, Static data, Trade monitoring and amendments.
Manage end-to-end workflow for APAC FX Trade Support
Support APAC Local Currency Trading (LCT) FX, G10 FX and Rates businesses executing FX trades.
Primary jurisdictions: Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo & other Asia branches (Sydney, Jakarta, Bangkok etc).
Secondary jurisdictions: London & NY.
FX trade amendments on T+1.
Trade event management such as NDF fixings.
Ensure trade capture - FX risks / exposures properly in the Front End due to short-term infrastructure limitations
Hands-on analysis & remediation of FX Sales Production Credits (PCs) working closely with APAC FX Sales
Review of exception and audit trail reports
Ensure risk outages are corrected
Maintain controls over wash / intermediation books.
Identify, escalate and debug issues with the FX Trade Support workflow.
Validation in the context to Real Time Reporting requirements under Dodd-Frank
EOD Report reviews to ensure all trades processed and adequate risk capture
Maintaining and reporting MIS / metrics for key processes.
Static data maintenance within the FO system
Coordinate & execute various ad-hoc requests given strong focus on growing Asia FX platform/business as well as rapidly changing regulatory environment.
Heavy partnership with global FX Trade Support team in UK
Extensive involvement with MO tactical and strategic change initiatives impacting the workflow. Examples:
System migrations / upgrades
Legal entity migrations
Quartz rollout.
Regulatory changes / projects ( NDF Clearing).
NPRs (New Product Reviews).
FX Option Trade Support:
Static Setup
Review of EOD reports to ensure all trades expired/exercised
Lifecycle Event Support (Exercise/Expire/Novate etc)
Daily BAU Support
