PURPOSE:



Responsible for end to end business planning within Oprations covering headcount, cost, budget, delivery of Strategic and Transformational initiaitives for Trade Operations globally


Develop and implement change management programs that support organisations short term and long term plans


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Business Planning

Define, develop and implement business planning processes.

Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams to improve business planning methods.

Assist management in resource management, cost and budget.

Develop standard procedures to manage and maintain business operational and financial objectives.

Lead and coordinate the forecasting and planning cycle for Group Trade Operations which includes half yearly and high-level forecasts and annual budget.

Lead timely review of cost performance and delivery of saves against 5 year efficiency road map

Analyze performance across revenue and expenses lines

To lead on the development and implementation of policies for business planning, performance and risk management.

Be an invaluable partner to facilitate sound business decision making


Processes

Responsible for transforming the Trade Operations into best in class Trade Ops shop with best in class turn around times, controls, and standards so as to provide market best client service, and predictable turn around times in a manner that the risks, if any, are clearly understood and managed.

Determine and execute key business initiatives that will drive business operations.

Responsible to support country trade operations and GBS on Strategy, Operating Model, Standards, and Risk Controls and compliance with regulations.

Develop and implement best practices and learning plans to meet business objectives.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of market dynamics such as competitor analysis, market share, demographic trends, and growth projections.


Stakeholder Management

Building strong stakeholder relationships both at senior level, influencing people with different agendas to adopt new concepts and different ways of working

Effectively communicate with key stakeholders, engender trust with stakeholders and advise operations on the potential implications of stakeholder priorities

Creating, overseeing and monitoring a stakeholder engagement plan

Regularly reviewing success of stakeholder engagement and advising team on the best way to influence particular stakeholders

Liaising with communications colleagues to agree on timely communication to be sent to key stakeholders


Governance

Manage the Trade Operations teams at group level, at countries and GBS to budgetary constraints, seeking operational efficiencies to drive the JAWS ratio as directed by Group Finance.

Represent Trade Operations at any relevant Group Committees.

Regular review of business performance metrics including Key Performance Index(KPI), Cost per transaction and take appropriate steps immediately upon detection.

Design and implementation of Transparent Performance Metrics.

Put in placeTrade Governance structure in Operations.

Adopt Best in class Capacity Models across countries and GBS.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Market Knowledge: awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the firm operates.

Business Strategy and Model: awareness and understanding of the firms business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

Risk Management and Control: the ability to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks to the firm. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the firm and the role the individual plays in managing them.

Financial Analysis and Control: the ability to interpret the firms financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.

Governance, Oversight and Controls: the ability to assess the effectiveness of the firms arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.

This role would require 15 years of relevant experience, covering the implementation of strategy into Trade Operations , part of which is operating at the Group level of sizeable international companies, ideally with sometime in the finance sector covering Trade products. International exposure, ability to handle cultural diversity and developing high performers are essential to this role.
