Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a South Asian Sourcing Manager based in Pune, India office. This position will be primarily responsible for all strategic and tactical sourcing activities across South Asia including India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a well-rounded background in sourcing, vendor relations and familiarity with distribution operations. This person will need to have both strong analytical and communication skills, with a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership, you must have a roll-up your sleeves attitude.

The challenging responsibilities of the position include:

Build collaborative partnerships with a wide variety of vendors.
Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and Medline.
Facilitate the registration and onboarding process for new vendors.
Negotiate vendor contracts and manage internal review process.
Lead sourcing projects from beginning to end, including vendor selection, price negotiation and vendor product setup.
Work closely with Divisional Product Management to enhance gross profit through cost reductions, new vendors, reduction of waste, and aggressively pursuing market opportunities.
Reduce the costs of all components and finished goods within each product segment through constant negotiation.
Negotiate with vendors price terms, product integrity, non-disclosures.
Reduce the amount of service level issues at the vendor level to maintain customer satisfaction.
Enhance the gross profit through cost reductions, new vendors, reduction of waste, and optimization of market opportunities.
Work with operations to enhance transportation opportunities. Reduce cubes and freight costs at the time of design.
Support Quality with SCAR, Deviations, Print Review, Factory audits, product improvements, and product R&D;
Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
Relevant Work Experience
At least 5 years of directly related industry experience.
Experience negotiating with outside vendors, including negotiating contracts, prices and reconciling differences.
Experienced in documenting procedures and internal controls.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
Preferred Qualifications

Relevant Work Experience
SAP, AS400 and Microsoft Access knowledge and experience.
