Job Title WTP Operator Water Treatment Plant Operator Department Utilities Engineering Operations Location Kathua Jammu Kashmir Reporting To Quality Manager Job Type Full-time Shift-based Job Summary The WTP Operator is responsible for operating monitoring and maintaining water treatment equipment to ensure the consistent and safe supply of treated water in compliance with regulatory standards and plant requirements Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor Water Treatment Plant WTP equipment including pumps valves filters clarifiers RO units softeners and chemical dosing systems Perform routine inspection and maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operation Monitor water quality parameters such as pH turbidity chlorine levels TDS conductivity etc Maintain logs and records of plant operations test results maintenance and repairs Ensure proper chemical dosing and maintain stock of treatment chemicals Perform backwashing of filters and regeneration of softeners as required Identify operational problems and troubleshoot equipment or process issues Adhere to all safety health and environmental regulations Support audits and maintain documentation as per company and statutory requirements Assist in water sample collection and laboratory testing procedures Coordinate with maintenance teams for major equipment servicing or repairs Qualifications and Skills Education ITI Diploma in Mechanical Chemical Environment Engineering or equivalent Experience 1-2 years in operation of industrial commercial WTPs DM RO ETP STP knowledge is a plus Job Type Permanent Pay 18 000 00 - 22 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Paid sick time Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Education Diploma Required Experience WTP 1 year Required Work Location In person Expected Start Date 30 07 2025
