Position Summary

The Manager I, Client Platforms Support position manages and supports a team of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) professionals.

Duties Responsibilities


- Manages the Client Platforms team within the Chandigarh location

- Provides leadership for the team as it relates daily operations, departmental expectations and employee development

- Works with other IT support teams to identify and remediate issues found in the desktop environment

- Create and manage operating system images for different hardware models supported by the company using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

- Build and maintain deployments / collections / applications / packages / task sequences within an SCCM 2012 environment

- Deploy Microsoft and 3rd party patches to client machines throughout the enterprise

- Serve as project lead of assigned IT projects

- Develop and implement solutions to enhance efficiencies for the company

- Provide 3rd level support for Desktop Support teams

- Identify and automate repetitive processes


Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.


Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

- This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

- Manager II, Infrastructure Applications



- Thorough knowledge of the System Center Configuration Manager Console and perform moderte to complex tasks within the console

- Intermediate skills using Active Directory in a distributed global enviroment, basic scripting ability using batch files, Autoit, Vbscript, etc., and basic knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects at a time

- Prior supervisory or management experience


- Familiarity with scripting for SCCM

- Ensures that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments and plans
