MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The Global Content Suite team (part of the Go-to-Market Technology team) is responsible for managing an ecosystem of tools that enables Unilever to gather, enrich and deploy product information to a variety of online and offline channels. Those tools are commonly known as:
PIM (Product Information Management)
KWR (Keyword Repository)
PCP (Product Content Portal)
PSO (Perfect Store Online)
Currently live in more than 20 markets, the Content Suite is a fundamental part of the Design4eCommerce strategy. It allows not only a streamlined product content creation/syndication but as well it provides mechanisms to validate the quality of the product content being produced.
Following the Global eCommerce guidelines, the deployment of accurate and search optimised content drives improved search results and conversion at the online retailer, consequently generating more growth to Unilever.
Since 2019, the Global Content Suite has also been playing a key role in the syndication of product content to the GDS network, replacing SAPGDS in multiple markets with an improved data distribution to all sets of retailers.
With a great cross-functional impact, the Global Content Suite team is accountable for managing the relationships with all sets of end users (local eCommerce Managers, CD teams, Brand teams, Geography IT, 3rd party providers) to ensure the correct tools adoption, capture user feedback and drive an ongoing service improvement.
Equally important, the team also maintains a close relationship with Global Teams that have an influence or direct decision on the Content Suite roadmap: Global eCommerce, Marketing Operations, Divisions and Unilever Foods Solutions, Global Supply Chain, Global R&D;, I&A; and Global platform teams.
The team is responsible for all aspects of IT project management, design, delivery, quality assurance and ongoing innovation. Operating in agile development squads, we act as the “front-of-house” for all requirements related to eCommerce content, revisiting and creating process/solutions with the objective of getting successful business outputs.
As a fully integrated partner of the Global eCommerce and Product Data platform teams, you will join a community passionate for business growth and creating tangible positive impact.
Considering the fast paced of eCommerce and product data management, this scope can involve multiple technologies and you will have the opportunity to act at the forefront of Customer Development solutions.
The responsibilities to the Global Content Suite Technology Manager englobe proactively engaging with stakeholders to manage and prioritize the demand for our innovation pipeline; and overseeing the analysis and delivery of local market innovations across the ecosystem. It’s also expected that this role will seek the successful launch of new capabilities/processes within the markets, working closely with end users to ensure the realization of the benefit.
The key activities involved in this role are:
Act as the Product Owner for the Local Market requests Squad.
Drive the adoption of the Content Suite across Japan, Russia, India, Indonesia and China.
Drive the improvement of the PIM support model working closely with the platform team based in India.
Lead the rollout of the Content Suite to SEAA
Even though we hope to drive as much efficiency as possible with a set of Global tools, we need to appreciate and understand markets specificities in order to win with local retailers. We expect this role to further approximate us to Asia and capture key opportunities for process or solution improvements.
These projects call for strong leadership, time-management and vendor management to deliver at speed across multiple vendors, programmes and business sponsors. Not only is there a strong emphasis on delivery, but strong, effective relationship building will be key.
Experience in working in a customer-facing role where great partnering was a key success factor.
Experience of creating and/or administering SharePoint / O365 site(s)
Confident use of and ability to communicate to others about technology – can demonstrate a passion for and understanding of technology and its relevance to modern business that will inspire confidence in stakeholders and partners
Business Partnering and/or account management experience where understanding, evolving and defining business requirements was a key success factor
Experience delivering small-medium scale projects with a global team
Confident in managing project budgets and stakeholder reporting
Experience of stakeholder management with Senior leaders.
Awareness of structured application development methodologies and tooling such as Agile and JIRA
Understanding of different IT disciplines in application and development through to service delivery.
