COMMERCIAL BANKING - LOAN AND AGENCY SERVICES DESCRIPTION - Deal Set up, Servicing, Secondary Loan Trading Support
The CB - Loan Operations team is responsible for servicing a portfolio of syndicated (Agency and non-Agency) loans across 12 geographies in Asia, 6 in EMEA and the region of North America. The team also provides support to Secondary Loan Trading Settlements and Deal Set-up. Support is provided for the held to maturity and held to sale portfolios for the Commercial and Investment customers of the bank. Servicing involves deal set up, processing new and subsequent draws, pay downs, rollovers, interest and fees application, sub-participation support. Given global nature of the service delivery,
the team provides 24/5 business support and partners with internal & External stakeholders across the globe, cutting across various time zones.
Operations Analyst (OA) - Loan & Agency- Wholesale Loan Operations
The OA is a key position within the Wholesale Loan Operations. The candidate is expected to deliver on the following tasks and requirements -
Core Job Description:
Ø Adherence to laid down QUALITY & QUANTITY SLA's.
Ø 100% compliance to process related policies, guidelines and controls.
Ø Deal Closing, processing Drawdowns, Rollovers, Repayments, Pre-payments, Funding, Rate-Fixings, Fees and external payments, collection of interest, Nostro & Past Due Reconciliation.
Ø Escalates issues as required to the management.
Ø Liaise with other departments within the bank (front office, middle office back office) as well as external contacts (Borrowers, other Banks, Trustees, etc)
Ø Process transactions on the loan system - Loan IQ, Monitor the loan maturity report and loan queue.
Ø Timely follow ups with the agent / customer for any missing notifications.
Ø Ensure all the funding within the SLA are been completed the same day.
Ø Keeping track of the open items and taking appropriate action within the deadlines provided.
Ø End to End responsibility for clearing exception breaks
Ø Ensure that the standard operating procedures are adhered to and are always updated.
Ø Participation in process improvement and automation.
Ø Update the MIS/KPI on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Ø Ensure adherence to the quality control standards that have been set for the process.
Ø Undertake adhoc duties and project work to assist the Management team
Ø Support business during resiliency and BCP situation
Skills/Attributes/Academic Qualifications needed:
Ø Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 - 4 years of relevant or lending service experience in a back office/BFSI space
Ø Candidates with knowledge of loan systems like loan IQ will hold an added advantage
Ø Candidates must have knowledge of nostro/cash matching, General Ledger reconciliation and SWIFT and remittance systems
Ø Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to loans operations
Ø Strong MS office and Analytical skills
Ø Works with a risk & control mindset
Ø Open to shifts
Ø Ability to work under pressure and deal with high volumes
