Job Title: Datastage/Talend Engineer
Experience Required: 5 to 7 Years
Location: Hyderabad
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Integration Engineer with strong expertise in IBM Datastage and Talend. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to support data warehousing and analytics initiatives. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality data delivery and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM Datastage and Talend.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Optimize ETL performance and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines.
Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation tasks.
Implement best practices for data integration, security, and governance.
Monitor and maintain ETL jobs and ensure timely data availability.
Document technical processes and provide support for production deployments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in ETL development using IBM Datastage and Talend.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL architecture.
Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Experience with data quality, data profiling, and metadata management.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop,
Spark) is an advantage.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for ETL deployments.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
