Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA Database Administrator with around 6 years of proven expertise in managing, monitoring, and optimizing SAP HANA environments. The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of HANA installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and HA/DR setups, with the ability to support mission-critical enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer SAP HANA databases in production and non-production environments.
- Perform upgrades, patching, migrations, and system refresh activities.
- Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Carry out regular backup and restore operations, ensuring data security and compliance.
- Work closely with SAP BASIS, application, and infrastructure teams for smooth operations.
- Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and provide tuning recommendations.
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and health check reports.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
Mandatory Skills
- 5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP HANA DBA.
- Expertise in installation, configuration, upgrades, and administration of SAP HANA.
- Strong knowledge of backup & recovery procedures, HA/DR concepts, and system refresh.
- Performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems.
