Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Madurai
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

Job Purpose

To lead and manage a team of Medical Representatives (MRs) within a designated territory, ensuring achievement of sales targets, brand promotion, and strategic execution aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, train, and motivate a team of 4–6 Medical Representatives
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for pharmaceutical products
- Conduct joint fieldwork with MRs to coach and monitor performance
- Build solid relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), doctors, and chemists
- Ensure effective implementation of promotional strategies and campaigns




- Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence
- Manage territory vacancies and ensure uninterrupted coverage
- Submit timely reports on sales performance, market feedback, and team activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate in Science or Pharmacy (B.Sc / B.Pharm); MBA preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pharma sales, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in territory planning, data analysis, and CRM tools
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,573.95 - ₹50,770.69 per month
