Leading SaaS Procurement and Budgeting Platform is Looking for:
Backend Engineer
We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has a strong passion for building scalable, reliable, and innovative software solutions.
What You'll Bring (Must-Haves)
- Backend Development: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js (Express.js/NestJS) and Python, designing and maintaining scalable APIs and microservices.
- Databases: Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB), including schema design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Practical experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for automated build, test, and deployment.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Testing & Quality: Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, PyTest) to ensure maintainable and bug-free code.
- Cloud Deployment: Experience deploying and monitoring applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Collaboration Skills: Comfortable working in cross-functional,
remote teams using tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Good-to-Have
- Serverless Experience: Familiarity with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, or equivalent serverless frameworks.
- AI Integration: Exposure to Generative AI tools and APIs (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.) and interest in applying AI/ML to improve workflows.
- DevOps Mindset: Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Full-Stack Awareness: Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (React, TypeScript) to collaborate with UI engineers effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
- Build and optimize database schemas and queries for scalability and performance.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate APIs seamlessly with user interfaces.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews with a fully remote team.
