Description:
The job of the prepress designer is to create virtual mockups/proofs for our customers and to prepare production files for decoration.
This role works with multiple departments so having strong communication and problem-solving skills is helpful to the position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Edit customer-provided artwork to company-specific product templates
- Email customers for proof approval and handle edit requests
- Create proof and production templates for new products
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve design-related issues with files that affect production
- Vectorize art when the provided artwork is raster
- Basic photography skills
- Multi-task between different types of orders and specialty projects
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in Graphic Design with an emphasis on production design
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Solid work ethic and attention to detail
- Works independently and can handle multiple priorities
- Knowledge or experience in the Promotional Products industry (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge or experience with Imprinting and/or Engraving (preferred but not required)
