Role & responsibilities
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including:
- User manuals
- API documentation
- Release notes
- Online help guides
- Technical specifications
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to gather and validate information.
- Edit, standardize, or revise material prepared by other team members or departments.
- Manage documentation projects and version control using tools like Git, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Ensure documentation meets industry standards, compliance requirements, and is accessible to both technical and non-technical users.
- Continuously review and update documentation to reflect product updates, feedback,
and best practices.
- Contribute to style guides and documentation standards.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 25 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a software or tech environment.
- Solid writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Markdown, Microsoft Word, Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Notion).
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and simply.
