Role purpose Technical Team Lead will be responsible to lead a team of analysts with mixed level of expertise in multiple network and Security technologies.He will be leading the support responsibilities, provide solutions, handle escalations and mentor team in delivering BAU and project tasks.He/she will be point of contact for resource allocation, technical inputs and manage day to day technical operations of team. Key accountabilities Technical Activities To work as a member of the Datacoms team in Mumbai supporting a global Network estate. To ensure Infrastructure incidents are resolved within specified SLA’s, liaising with other support teams and 3rd parties where appropriate.

To ensure that appropriate escalation procedures are followed To ensure that necessary team documents are maintained. Following up on morning checks results and resolving reported issues. To ensure that any enhancement and project work is delivered to the agreed scope and timescale and within agreed budgets. To comply with departmental policies and standards (Change control, Problem management and security standards) To adhere to all compliancy, audit and corporate policies. (e.g. Health and Safety) Experience and personal qualities Relationship management Identify, recognize and acknowledge IT management and stakeholders Determine their influence and interest in BAU and strategic goals Establish communication channel with relevant stakeholders Set the goals at individual and team level to meet management expectations Plan, execute and share the progress with the management Communication Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent listening and interpersonal skills Logical thinking and efficient Keen attention to detail Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language General Highly self-motivated and directed Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Strong customer service orientation Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Essential • Team leading experience of minimum 2 years with a team size of minimum 8 - 10 engineers • Hands on experience on Checkpoint, & Juniper Firewalls, Cisco Switches and Cisco Routers, OSPF/BGP Routing protocols • Strong documentation and presentation skills • Display strong mentoring qualities • Cisco Nexus /Load Balancers / Trapeze Wireless and Websense • Ability to resolve L3 level Network infrastructure support calls • Minimum 7 - 9 years of experience in supporting LANs, WANs, Firewalls and Internet Infrastructure • Experience in Designing Network and Security systems and its documentation • Understanding of fundamental concepts in Network Infrastructure, Internet and Firewalls • Ability to administer, configure, manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure equipment including Cisco, switches, routers, and Checkpoint Firewalls independently. • Familiarity with the support, configuration and monitoring of a large Wide Area Network • Experience of router configuration and routing protocols • Ability to administer internet access Proxies, eg; Websense • Good verbal and written English communication skills • Experience of documenting systems • Understanding of ITIL standards. • A quick Learner with the ability to take a structured, methodical and disciplined approach to all tasks. • Able to create work instructions for tasks • Independently work on L3 issues and designing new configurations • The Ability to investigate issues or evaluate products and produce articulate and convincing proposals and documentation to enable their support or deployment. • To be able to work effectively to tight deadlines while providing high quality feedback to all relevant parties. Desirable: Preferred Technical Skills Cisco Routers & Switches Firewall skills Checkpoint & Juniper) Proxy knowledge - Websense Load balancers F5/A10 Wireless protocols Cisco Nexus exposure Understanding of compliancy requirements and processes such as IT Security and Audit requirements, Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery techniques.
