E2open is looking for a results-oriented Director of DevOps for our products. This position will work alongside the VP of DevOps, interact with leaders across E2open and be directly responsible for tools that enable Configuration management and deployment for all of E2open products.
This director level role, reporting to the VP of DevOps, will own software processes related to software delivery of Configuration management and Deployment. The Director of DevOps will significantly impact the overall success of the organization by focusing on areas such as release quality controls, delivery automation, defining and gathering key performance indicators, developing operational models,
capturing and developing strategic plans for DevOps functions, and managing the resources assigned to this area.
You will be hired as one of the best and brightest in your field who can challenge your team to think about solutions differently and have an inherent appreciation of how user experience, in particular developer experience of our software will be a critical factor in uptake and adoption.
As a leader at E2open, you will be seen as an expert in your field but will understand that your primary role is to enable the engineers in your team to shine and deliver to their full potential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead a team of DevOps Engineers that are delivering the next-generation Software Configuration and Deployment platform for our Product teams
Communicate and Collaborate cross-functionally with your team, developers, product owners, domain experts and E2open executive team.
Explore and implement new technologies for cloud platforms, software configuration and deployment, and security.
Deliver, improve, and reinforce a culture of accountability, excellence, and collaboration Required Qualifications:
Experience with continuous builds & deployments as well as continuous integration, log collection and analysis, and performance monitoring/ tuning, and security.
Excellent track record of managing and leading high SLA delivering engineering team(s).
Growing, leading, mentoring, and managing team of engineers
Demonstrated command of DevOps/ Operations and technical processes, artifacts and tools.
Experience with technical deep-dives into system performance bottlenecks
Able to define and articulate big-picture goals and milestones while maintaining strong attention to detail to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent judgment, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable in reviewing code as well as writing programs needed in fully-automated devops environments.
Strong professional experience programming in Python, Ruby, Chef, Ansilbe or similar tools.
Master s degree in Computer Science or relevant field and 8 years of experience in a DevOps capacity, working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment OR
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or relevant field and 10 years of experience in a DevOps capacity, working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment OR
