Role purpose Employee will be working within the MIBI Operations team, leveraging business knowledge to transform data into insight. Employee will aim to extend and enhance the management information capabilities within the business by rapidly producing accurate operational and financial reporting. Employee will be responsible for working with the team to design, develop, maintain,
enhance and extend reporting solutions, using Business Intelligence tools that reflect the needs of our customers. Key Accountabilities Technical Activities Produce accurate, timely and relevant MI which can be used by the business in the production of reports to aid decision making. Look for opportunities to develop new reports and analytics to help drive higher levels of business performance. Develop reporting systems in line with overall strategy. Design and develop business intelligence solutions to meet business needs, ensuring that all solutions are tested as appropriate for quality and performance assurance. Produce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for reports developed. Experience and personal qualities Relationship management Engage with internal and external stakeholders to source data required by the business and provide data in appropriate way to meet business demands. Develop sound professional working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and business partners, building confidence and acquiring an understanding of the business. Collaboratively work with IT Business intelligence and development group to resolve incidents where Business / stakeholders aren’t receiving Business Objects reports. Communication Actively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues and customers. Collaborate & partner in team meetings and daily scrums. Provide feedback to the manager outlining progress, key issues and proposed solutions. General Undertakes any necessary training associated with the duties of the post and participates in training and development procedures. Complies with all Company Health and Safety policies and legislation in the performance of their duties and responsibilities. Maintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines. Manages expenses in accordance with Company Expense Policy. Carries out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capability. Works in line with reporting, process and governance standards. Able to meet deadlines and able to work well under pressure. Able to demonstrate high attention to detail Essential You will have a good understanding of Business Intelligence with at least 2 years of experience ideally using SAP Business Objects, SSRS/SSAS or similar reporting, analysis and dashboard tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize and drive continuous improvement opportunities. Strong stakeholder engagement skills in order to discuss the reporting and analytical requirements of the internal business users and to provide support. A team player and dynamic self-starter who has the ability to ‘get things done’. Desire to learn and develop skills in a Business Intelligence environment. Coordinating with Business Analysts to define business requirements and specification documents Proactively review areas for improvement within the Business Intelligence landscape. Good knowledge of SQL in a Microsoft SQL Server database environment. Desirable Knowledge of Travelex financial systems, business activities and general accounting processes. Experience within a financial services or retail environment. Keen interest and open-minded approach to emerging technologies. Some experience with Business Objects universe design and development. Administration of the Business Objects environment using the Central Management Console. Data visualization experience utilizing tools such as Power BI, Google Looker, Tableau, SAP Lumira. Experience connecting to data sources in the cloud (Amazon Web Services).
