Job Description

Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Project Manager position.

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Remote

Reports To: VP of Global Change Management (Anne-Marie Rajguru)

Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 plus bonus

Travel: Minimal travel required

Position Description:

The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to work with a team to ensure the successful execution and implementation of enterprise projects including, but not limited to, identifying tasks, resources, schedules, and dependencies,

as well as resolving risks/issues during the course of projects to ensure all project goals are achieved or exceeded.

***ADDITIONAL NOTE FROM THE AE:*** There are 3 total PM roles, each with a different area of responsibility. The Digital PM is going to need familiarity with Agile/Scrum type software/tracking products, and the Ops PM will need Lean familiarity and/or Supply Chain background.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•Produce regular dashboards and reports at all visibility levels – including materials supporting executive reviews

•Ensure consistent communication and status/awareness for all stakeholders

•Coordinate with all stakeholders to leverage a common toolset for integrated program, project and engagement tracking with a specific focus on the regular cadence of critical tasks and outcomes

•As required, run agile or sprint style stand-ups for engagements to gauge status, understand blockers and review timelines

•Track project success across deliverables, milestones and financials for internal reporting to leadership

•Identify and assist in mitigation of major project risks. Propose strategies for remediation

•Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

•Define project level tasks and resource requirements


Ideal candidates for this position will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Project Management, Business, or other related discipline, and at least 7 years’ experience in managing/directing large-scale projects. Additional experience outside the military is highly desired, though not a disqualifier.

•Proven leadership and project management skills, and a track record of success achieving goals

•Possess strong analytical, problem-solving skills

•Proven relationship building and fostering

•Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and technical diagrams

•Ability to adapt to regular changes and multi-task where appropriate

•Confidence and strong verbal communication skills

•Strong work ethic and the integrity to see a job/task through to completion correctly the first time

•Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
