Position Overview



We are growing our Collaboration Services team within the Digital Enterprise Services organization to digitize the company’s Collaborations Systems (Office 365, Zoom), and processes. Our engineering culture will empower you to make effective decisions, work collaboratively, and take accountability for engineering projects at the core of the company



The team is seeking an experienced Azure / Office 365 software engineer with DevOps experience to help guide this team in their journey towards becoming a world-class engineering team



Responsibilities



- Design, develop and deliver automated services and self-service capabilities based on Office 365 and Azure services



- Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.

- Leverage Azure APIs to simplify and digitize service consumption by end-users and engineers

- Improve efficiency and reliability by streamlining manual processes that are redundant or inconsistent to automation

- Work closely with other teams within IT to help discover and eliminate problems by gathering requirements and implementing process automation

- Work together in a highly motivated team

- Ensure full-stack software solutions are well architected and delivered using industry-leading DevOps best practices and technologies

- Collaborate to define best practices and standards around DevOps and service resilience around Azure and Office 365 services

- Create reusable automation libraries that can be applied across the enterprise

- Optimize and support our existing public cloud solutions and workloads

- Experience and familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices and methodologies is highly desirable

- Deal well with ambiguous or undefined problems; ability to think abstractly

- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently and work together effectively across teams and with customers

- Comfortable in performing requirements analysis, interfacing with stakeholders of various levels and documenting solutions

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Demonstrable knowledge of DevOps in an Enterprise setting, both on public clouds (AWS or Azure) and on-premise

- Energetic team player who works well across boundaries and readily adapts to change and enjoys rapid development

- Confident of your skills, abilities and willing to share what you know, while learning from others



Minimum Qualifications 



- 5+ years of industry experience in designing, implementing, automating and maintaining Microsoft infrastructure technologies

- 2+ years of experience focused on cloud environments (Azure or AWS)

- Hands-on experience with Azure AD, Azure technologies and services, Office 365 services

- Experience using version control systems and common IDE’s, preferably Git and Visual Studio products

- Experience using with build/release and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins/Azure DevOps/AWS CodePipline

- Extensive experience with automation and object-oriented programming languages, preferably PowerShell, Python, Java and/or C# software development

- Hands-on experience with most of the following: HTML, CSS, Vue.js, and RESTful web services

- Understanding of architectural concepts, Domain Drive Design, CQRS and Event Sourcing and Event-Driven patterns

- Understanding of SOLID principles in software development

- Familiarity with testing concepts, both with unit testing and integration testing

- Deep understanding of security best practices and standards around cloud computing and access management

- Experience with Exchange Online and Exchange Online PowerShell

- Experience with the following technologies is a plus:

- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and IAM)

- Direct experience with any of the following is a plus: Azure Automation, API Management, Azure Functions, Application Insights, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, Log Analytics, Key Vault

- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI

- Familiarity with on-prem Active Directory



Preferred Qualifications:



- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or Science. Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

- Automation certification will be an added advantage

- Well versed with automation tools like (not limited to) Cypress, Rainforest, Usetrace, pCloudy etc.,

- Programming and coding experience

- Project management

- Agile, cloud and DevOps

- Analytical and problem-solving skills

- Communication and leadership skills

- 5+ years' experience with hands on support of Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint

- ITIL and Agile Methodology experience

- Industry Certifications are preferred

- Able to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation and little oversight

- Must be available for on call support as needed
