This role will involve working closely with Clients and internal resources, providing expert level technical, administration and support for upgrading our client’s production environments. The Charles River Consultant will perform the following duties
Assist in analysis of the current state including any customizations.Develop plans to retire current customizations in favor of native functionality.Manage multiple technical initiatives, potentially on multiple projects simultaneously.Develop with a result-driven approach while maintaining upgrade schedules.Able to be self-motivated and self-driven.Work in a dynamic, fast-paced,
team environmentPerformance tuningAssist in project planningTesting technical solutionsIssue resolutionAssist with configuration of automated UAT regression testsAssisting in UATSupport during Go-Live event and during the post go-live period.Participation in the development and on-going refinement, enhancement and continuous process improvement for the services.Participation in the investigation, implementation, and operation of 3rd party tools to enhance/improve, automate, and streamline the delivery of the services.
The role will involve periodic out of hours support
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field.10-15 years of related experienceExperience in methodology-based solution delivery and managing customers’ expectations.Problem solving skills and ability to recognize long term solutions across multiple projects.Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.Self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good interpersonal skills; ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector; solid client interaction skills.The ability to travel from time to time as the assignment requires (25%)Desired technical experience includes:XML and XSLTUnderstanding of ERDsTomcat configuration and optimizationN-tier application architectureSOAP/XML and messaging software like MQ Series, MSMQ, Sonic MQ and Open JMSIn-depth knowledge of one of the following RDBMS: Oracle or MS SQL ServerJava and C# programming and associated IDEsWindows and Unix (Linux)knowledge of ETL tools such as KettleFamiliar with at least one SCM (Perforce would be a plus)PerlCrystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Financial services industry experiencePrevious consulting backgroundSystem integration using ETL toolsJava or C# programming experience in Financial Services
