Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer (L4) with expertise in Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls. The ideal candidate will have 16+ years of experience in enterprise security operations and will be responsible for leading advanced security implementations, designing secure network architectures, managing firewalls, and providing L4-level support for critical security incidents.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy,



and manage Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewall environments in enterprise and data center networks.
- Lead security architecture, configuration, and policy enforcement across multi-site and multi-tenant environments.
- Perform L4-level troubleshooting for firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS, and other security devices.
- Implement security best practices, including segmentation, threat prevention, and access control policies.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and risk mitigation.
- Prepare HLD/LLD security documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Integrate firewalls with network, cloud, and endpoint security platforms.
- Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and application teams for secure design and compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior security engineers, providing technical leadership for escalations.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and patches.

Required Skills & Experience

- 16+ years of experience in enterprise security and firewall management.
- Expert-level knowledge of Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls.




- Strong experience with VPNs, NAT, routing, firewall policies, and security zones.
- Hands-on knowledge of threat prevention, intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS), URL filtering, and logging.
- Experience with security incident response and L4 escalation handling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in mission-critical networks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-team coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

- Checkpoint CCSE / CCSE NGX or Palo Alto PCNSE certifications.
- Experience with SIEM integration, cloud security, and hybrid network security architectures.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting for security operations.
