About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Lead Software Developer to architect and drive the development of mission-critical software systems for advanced defense applications. You will lead a team of 3–4 junior engineers, translating complex application-level requirements into robust, scalable software architectures. Your work will directly support systems such as Electronic Warfare (EW) receivers, radar displays, and RF emitter detection and classification platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- System Architecture & Design




- Translate application-level requirements into detailed Software Requirement Specifications (SRS)
- Architect full-stack software systems for defense-grade applications
- Define software interfaces with hardware subsystems including RF receivers, FPGAs, and signal processors
- Team Leadership
- Guide and mentor a team of junior developers through the full software development lifecycle
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure timely delivery of milestones
- Implementation & Integration
- Oversee development of front-end and back-end components
- Ensure seamless integration with hardware systems and real-time data pipelines
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to align software behavior with system-level performance goals

Quality & Compliance:

- Ensure software meets MIL-grade reliability, security, and performance standards
- Document architecture, design decisions, and test protocols
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in relevant field




- Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in full-system software design (not limited to module-level work)
- Proven experience in drafting Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and system-level architecture
- Robust proficiency in front-end and back-end development, preferably in C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar
- Understanding of hardware systems such as RF transceivers, FPGAs, and DSPs
- Experience with real-time systems, signal processing, or embedded software is highly desirable
- Familiarity with defense standards, secure coding practices, and MIL-STD compliance is a plus
