Hiring for Senior Associate in Corporate and M&A; team at Nagpur location

Qualifications and experience:

- A five-year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record
- 3-6 years' experience in the corporate practice of a well reputed firm(s)

Knowledge areas:

- Good knowledge of Companies Act, FEMA, FDI, SEBI and RBI regulations, policy, Contract Act, Constitution
- Working knowledge of at least two corporate practice areas
- Team member having worked in at least a few medium sized transactions like joint ventures, M&A;, private equity, due diligence, agreements.
- Able to research and draft first cut opinions in corporate law areas




- Work under the guidance of a Senior in drafting and able to markup +version control of agreements on the above subjects
- Understanding of what needs review in a due diligence exercise, submit reports based on check lists for preparation of a full report within a limited time.
- Up to date knowledge of current case law on corporate and changing regulations
- Tech savvy with ability to do independent research from global data bases
- Fluency in or learning a foreign language

- Excellent communication skills (moot court or litigation experience useful)
- Quick turnaround time, attention to detail
- Analytical ability- able to analyse laws and apply the same for practical use
- Tech savvy, able to use computer efficiently, social media, ecommerce mechanisms

- High level of integrity, honesty and commitment to work ethics
- Ability to prepare for and assist in business development activities
