Job Summary In this role, you will be responsible to lead, supervise and control machinery projects within Engineering Asia Pacific in close coordination with Global Process Engineering. Within this function, direct, supervise and control all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering, to ensure that necessary resources are provided at the plants in order to plan, manage and install new machinery, equipment and utilities. Give direct support to local Engineering Group in those concerns. Consult and support Global Manufacturing Engineering and Global Facility Engineering in all technical aspects for tools, machinery, facilities and utilities. Work closely with other department managers and their teams to maximize achievement through a cooperative environment. Propose and define installation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment or facilities to improve quality and throughout or reduce cost. Participate in budgeting and business planning activities and lead the way towards achievement of quality and service goals as well as financial budgets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work with internal and external team resources to Identify project requirements in support of new equipment/ manufacturing line / tools / facilities, expansion projects and/or process optimization development projects Develop, execute and document project assignments in compliance with committed timelines, budget and project goals, and per established governance policies and procedures Perform assigned project details and follow up on installations of equipment or utilities to assure proper operation and results Support the Global Engineering Network initiatives Follow applicable West project management process & methods to conduct project meeting, publish report/minutes, follow up on task, escalate when encounter roadblocks, etc. Issue technical documents Requirement Specification, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), Installation & Operational Qualification (IOQ) protocols in cooperation with Global Process Engineering Prepare reports as may be required on a routine basis or on demand within established deadlines. Ensuring all reporting data and documentation deliverables are accurate and complete without prejudice Maintain own technical, management, administrative skill and job knowledge up to date Keep Global Manufacturing Engineering informed and aware of all significant technical, administrative or management issues as they develop. Maintain immediate communication line during emergencies or critical operational situations Assume responsibility for training and education of personnel in the use of any new or modified equipment or facilities that are introduced by Manufacturing Engineering Ensure purchases of engineering supplies, facilities or equipment are made to competitive prices, from a global perspective and are supplied on time. Minimize asset growth in order to improve ROIC without jeopardizing performance Ensure important data are stored properly and safe Coordinate and manage all qualification & validation issue on rebuild and purchase of standard machinery, like compounding equipment, molding presses, trimming presses and washing machines within Asia Pacific cGMP and ISO 9000 guidelines; comply to all local statutory regulations Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications BS in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or equivalent technical degree Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing and engineering field Project Management experience leading capital equipment and facilities projects Prior experience with Automation, Cleanroom, WFI/PW water processing system, equipment designing, facilities and tooling will be an added advantage Good English communications skills. Any other Asian language will be added advantage
