About this role:

Gartner is looking for a well-rounded Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master in India who can provide project leadership supporting Product Delivery in Gartners TalentNeuron business. The candidate will be responsible for program and project management of key initiatives needed to build and run TalentNeurons customer facing web applications and back-end data engine. These include the Recruit, Plan, and Custom Roles applications, data sharing partnerships, data harvesting and processing technologies, and data management tools. The candidate will be responsible for project deliverables and schedule, dependency management, relationship management with Product and Data Science partners, team performance and time reporting, and roadmap/release planning and execution. The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked in an Agile/Scrum environment, has worked closely with business partners, has played a key role in supporting a customer-facing website and/or big data product, and has demonstrable experience managing relationships/expectations of the business and development teams.

What youll do:

Ensure Agile/Scrum process is implemented effectively and provide coaching at the team level to maximize its benefits

Facilitate discussions that lead to the resolution of project issues and development impediments

Report project progress to management and executive level stakeholders

Communicate release plans with other teams and key stakeholders

Develop processes to manage operational issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Identify systemic operational or process issues and resolve them; identify root causes and process improvements to prevent similar issues

Develop and track project plans in partnership with business owners and their product roadmap

Identify, plan for, and resolve dependencies between IT, Data Science, and Product teams

Ensure timely and accurate reporting on associates timesheets for Finance

Identify issues with third-party suppliers and help IT teams resolve them through vendor management

Become a change agent for the TalentNeuron organization, always looking for potential improvements and executing them

What youll need:

4 year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience

5 years of project management experience

3-4 years of experience working in an Agile Scrum environment

Strong experience with the full software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (Agile)

Deep working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery

Preferred experience with Continuous Integration practices/tools and Open Source Frameworks

Strong knowledge of programming documentation processes/procedures

Strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization

Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products

Should be able to balance operational and development needs of TalentNeurons different applications and tools.

Should be able to interact well with both internal associates and external clients in resolving operational issues.
