Sales & Client Management is a platform that provides analytics on clients, deals, bankers, products, and profitability measures at the detail and aggregated level across key business metrics and dimensions. We are embarking on a technical transformation which involves taking our existing big data stack to public cloud amongst various other business/technical enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Individual contributor - working on new features, enhancements and re-engineering projects.
Ensure adherence to firm wide architecture standards, risk management and security policies
Identify efficiencies and ways to improve design and development processes.
Quickly grasp the business use-cases supported by current stack to ensure the transformation program is moving in the correct direction and solving the all use-cases.
Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with all businesses across Technology and among technology team members.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels
Work effectively within collaborative team to identify and resolve issues
Design, analyze, develop, code, test, debug and document in solving business problems for one or more business areas.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in information technology with an emphasis on application development, demonstrated experience with applications development throughout the entire development lifecycle
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Ability to work on multiple projects and manage many priorities
Strong written and verbal communication as well as strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to absorb problems & present creative solutions within required timeframes
Must be able to demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or had experience of several major technology implementation projects
Demonstrated experience working along with a global team.
Be self-driven, ability to work independently or with multiple teams
Influence highly opinionated groups.
Essential Technology Skills:
Strong Core Java knowledge, Design patterns and Multi-threaded programming
Big data development - HDFS, spark and related technologies
Debugging skills Java, web app and SQL debugging
Defect Management (JIRA or equivalent)
Unix experience.
Unit testing using Junit or other testing packages.
Preferred Skills:
Agile development experience.
Knowledge of Financial services
Exposure to RDBMS development.
SQL performance tuning, web application performance analysis and tuning, analyzing performance metrics
