MatrixCare, the leading provider of cloud-based software for the post-acute care industry, is seeking a team-player with a natural propensity to share concepts and techniques as well as foster and encourage sharing of knowledge. The Software Business Analyst will elicit, analyze and document the needs of the stakeholders to guide development efforts. Practical, relevant experience as a creative problem solver and a proven ability to solve tough challenges with high quality is critical. The Software Business Analyst will be involved at many levels throughout the software development lifecycle. Upon completion of user stories in an agile software development environment,
the focus will shift to managing and fulfilling the user stories including testing for 24/7 mission critical applications in the Home Health & Hospice market.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business analytics experience in a software company, preferably in the healthcare software market
- Experience working with and interviewing customers and stakeholders to surface detailed requirements information
- Excellent listening skills to understand and interpret customer and stakeholder responses
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or tasks
- Strong facilitation skills to lead requirements and user story sessions
- Strong interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts amongst project stakeholders
- Strong analytical capabilities, to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, resolve conflicts, decompose requirements into lower level details, and distinguish true business needs from proposed implementations or user requests
- Must have a high-level understanding of Web based software technology in a Microsoft environment
- Experience in medium to large scale software or IT projects a plus
Primary Duties
- Work with the Product Manager and project stakeholders to understand requirements translating the business needs into user stories that can be understood by the engineering team
- Work with the Product Manager to review the product backlog priorities to align with the product vision and priorities defined
- Define user stories and ensure they meet the business objectives of the stakeholders
- Lead user story reviews with the development team
- Lead review of features/development that has been completed during the sprint in Sprint Review of software to ensure the requirements were interpreted correctly
- Assist in the user interface design of the software products
- Participate in daily stand-up discussions and meetings with engineering team on projects/tasks
- Lead Sprint Planning and answer questions from the development team to ensure they are able to understand and fulfill the needs of the user stories
- Assist in the troubleshooting of production related customer issues, as needed
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) related to the generation of product documentation, release notes and customer education deliverables
- Manage changes to requirements or scope creep through effective change management processes
- Assist with answering questions from the internal software implementation, training, and support teams
