Job Description
Mandatory skills and qualities:
Avid learner.
Good problem solving, analytical and reasoning skills.
Knowledge and passion about testing and bug discovery is mandatory.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, detailed oriented, exercises mature judgment.
Must demonstrate passion to find areas and automate testing continuously.
Mandatory to have some experience in automated testing with Jasmine and Protractor
Essential to have some level of hands-on programming, basic UNIX command and some SQL knowledge.
Experience with web services/API testing is PLUS.
Scripting background on Shell and PERL/Python is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Break-down requirements and design / develop test cases meeting optimum coverage standards. This also includes test case discovery through situation reverse engineering beyond the realm of documented specifications.
Willingness to carry-out manual and automation test execution across client, server (both web and legacy) architectures ,windows and non-windows platforms. Adequate contributions to upkeep of different environment profiles matching up the end customer as well as credible test data preparation and management is necessary.
Diagnose /reproduce defects using minimal and just data set and test steps.
Perform functional/regression/integration and performance tests in adherence to in-house test standards, analyze and publish insightful test reports.
Design, Develop, Maintain automation units (including legacy system) for the test operation sustenance.
Contribute to continuous cycle of test coverage/customer use case, operational profile enhancement/enlargement to achieve quality objectives.
Fully committed to switch between waterfall or agile environment to fulfill customer /stakeholders expectation through product and patch releases.
Create /update/Review knowledge documents periodically as well as contribution to the continuous product /process improvements is quite required.
