Job Description
To provide technical support for the manufacturing process in the designated area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROCESS & PRODUCT:
Lead activities that involve issuing reports, conducting product quality audits, issuing and dispositioning product holds, process and material specifications related to maintaining and improving the product quality within the manufacturing process.
Responsible for all technology, process related activities for calendaring process and other designated area
Calendering process capability and defect/waste improvement
Optimize the use of existing material / alternate material for cost/rationalization/process benefit
Analyze product failure due to Process and take necessary improvement measures
Validate and release new calendar line with in project timeline
Supporting other Component preparation area equipment, process and specs, new machine validation
Supporting Raw material development process
Supporting New product development
Supporting Uniformity & Balancing improvement, Cured tyre waste and defect improvement
Review of key product and process parameters and initiate actions
Drive productivity and quality improvement projects
System implementation, monitoring and control.
PFMEA,Control plan,SOP etc., preparation
PDCA approach to continual improvement for Productivity, Quality, waste reduction etc.
TECHNICAL ECONOMY:
Product specification optimization in the designated area.
CLAIMS & LOSSES:
Monitor products in order to bring in continuous improvement, and keep claims and losses to a minimum.
TECHNICAL & QUALITY TASKS:
Provide technical know-how and inputs to the designated sections.
Analyze process variations and take necessary countermeasures to improve product quality and reduce process waste.
Analytically sound to analyse the data & should retrieve any statistical data available in the system.
Knowledge of Steel wire, Fabric and rayon Calandering
Good knowledge in Lab testing and physical property analysis of Fabric, steel and Rayon
Familiarity with creel room process, product settings and tooling.
Basic knowledge on compounds properties.
Proficiency in Tyre Manufacturing Technology (Capable)
(Technical knowhow & ability in compounding/Fabric/Steel wire process, production processes, systems, layout plans and quality measures)
Proficiency in Plant systems & processes (Foundational)
(Ability to understand & implement 5S, safety practices, production best practices, QBM and other contemporary systems & process.)

(Knowhow on organizational mission ,Code of conduct, product SKUs, accountabilities w.r.t market scenario & competition & ability to apply in one's role, profitability )

QUALIFICATION
B.Tech in Rubber/Polymer Technology/ Textile engineering
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 8 years.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(IF ANY)
ESSENTIAL
Experience on Steel and Textile Four roll calendar,
ERP/SAP knowledge & able to make the specification in SAP.
Good technical knowledge on Fabric/Steel processing with creel room set up.
