Design Manager Industrial Cranes Hoists & Lifting Equipment (Amravati)

Experience: Minimum 15 years in Design

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering

Location: Pune / PCMC – Local candidates only or on-site relocation compulsory

Key Responsibilities

- Specialize in design of Cranes, Hoists and Belt-driven lifting systems, including EOT (Single/Double Girder), Gantry, Semi-Gantry, Jib, Underslung, Wall-Mounted, Pillar-Mounted, Goliath, Customized/Special-Purpose Cranes, Electric Wire Rope/Chain Hoists, and Belt Hoists.
- Create detailed designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Lead and manage a team of Design Engineers.
- Develop design concepts based on project requirements.
- Perform technical calculations for hydraulic components , Load cases and structural components.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, 3D models and BOMs.
- Finalize design and material specifications for tenders.
- Plan,



allocate and monitor work within the design team.
- Maintain design records, reports and documentation as per standards.
- Implement improvements based on project learnings and customer feedback.
- Train and mentor the team on recent technologies and design practices.

Skills & Expertise Required

- Strong capabilities in mechanical design, cranes, hoists, belt-driven systems and lifting equipment.
- Excellent communication, coordination and team-handling skills.
- Highly organized, time-efficient and detail-oriented.
- In-depth knowledge of design principles, hydraulics, load calculations, structural design and industry standards.
- Experience in the Material Handling Equipment sector is an advantage.
