Role Overview

You will lead the development of ArcDial, our custom rotary controller for mixed-reality interactions.

Your job: convert our conceptual hardware architecture into a production-ready device — schematic → PCB → firmware → testing → integration.

Core Responsibilities





- Design schematics & PCB for a round, compact controller (ESP32/WROOM based)
- Integrate rotary encoders, WS2812 LED rings, USB-C, buttons, regulators
- Write bare-metal firmware for rotation, push actions & LED animations
- Implement high-performance serial communication (USB/BLE)
- Ensure stable JSON event output for Unity integration
- Handle EMI, power stability, protection circuits, and debugging
- Work with manufacturing partners for PCB fabrication & assembly
- Support our Unity team in real-time input testing

Required Skills

- Strong in ESP32 / STM32 / RP2040
- PCB design in KiCad / Altium / EasyEDA
- UART/USB/BLE protocol implementation
- Experience with encoders, sensors, WS2812 LEDs
- Understanding of power management, regulators, ESD & fuse protection
- Soldering, debugging, JTAG flashing, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
