Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Underwriter to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for assessing risks, reviewing proposals, negotiating with insurers, and ensuring policies are structured in line with underwriting guidelines and regulatory norms.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate insurance proposals, documents, and claim histories to determine risk exposure.
- . Liaise and coordinate with multiple insurance companies — must have existing contacts within insurer networks.
- Negotiate with insurance companies to secure the best terms and coverage for clients.
- Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and internal underwriting guidelines.




- Maintain underwriting records and prepare risk assessment reports.
- Work closely with client servicing and claims teams for smooth operations.
- Contribute to policy structuring, product enhancement, and market-driven amendments and other related work.

Requirements

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.
- 2 and more years of experience in underwriting (Life / General / Health insurance).
- Robust understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, and regulatory norms.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and insurance underwriting/broking software.
- Strong industry network and knowledge of key contacts in insurance companies.
