Job Title: Server Administrator

Location : Remote

Position Type : Full Time (2.30 pm IST-10.30 PM IST)

Role Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Server Administrator with minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience to manage, secure, and optimize our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Server administration, Hyper-V environments, Microsoft 365, networking, and system security.
This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to monitoring and maintenance, and the ability to assist end users during emergencies with explicit and calm communication.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain Windows Server 2019/2022 environments, including RDS and Hyper-V
Manage OVH dedicated servers, applying updates, patching, and security hardening
Oversee Microsoft 365 administration (users, licences, policies, and security)
Configure and maintain networking components such as firewalls, VPNs, and DNS
Monitor infrastructure using Site24x7 or equivalent tools, responding promptly to alerts
Implement and maintain security measures (MFA/Duo, backups, compliance)
Provide incident response and technical support for server and network issues
Assist end users during emergencies with technical issues
Document system configurations, processes, and security standards

Requirements
3–5 years of hands-on server administration experience




Proficiency with Windows Server 2019/2022, Hyper-V, RDS, and Microsoft 365
Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and security best practices
Experience with Duo MFA, Site24x7, and OVH or similar hosting providers
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, especially when handling end-user interactions
Comfortable working remotely and independently

Hyper-V (VM creation, management, networking, snapshots)
Remote Desktop Services (setup, access control, user management)
Microsoft 365 (user administration, policies, licensing, security)
Networking (DNS, VPN, firewall rules, routing fundamentals)
Security (MFA, patch management, backups, server hardening)
Monitoring tools (Site24x7 or similar platforms)
Dedicated server management (OVH or equivalent)

Good to Have
Experience with Microsoft Azure administration
Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, CCNA)
Prior experience configuring Duo MFA
