Senior Android Developer

We’re building digital infrastructure for small businesses across emerging market helping them grow using technology that works where connectivity is limited, devices are modest, and every second counts. Our Android app is the frontline interface for tens of thousands of users and it’s central to our mission.As we scale rapidly across multiple regions, we’re looking for a Senior Android Developer to own and evolve our flagship mobile experience transforming it into a robust, scalable, and delightful tool that empowers businesses.

What You’ll Do

• Architect & Modernize: Lead end-to-end ownership of the Android app — refactor legacy

code, enforce clean architecture (MVVM/MVI), and design systems for scale (10K+

concurrent retailers).

• Build High-Impact Features: Develop new capabilities in Kotlin (and Java where needed), with

an eye for performance, battery efficiency, and memory safety.

• Solve for Emerging Markets: Build resilient offline-first experiences, optimized sync

strategies, and ultra-lightweight UIs for low-end devices and spotty networks.

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Product, Design, and Backend teams to ship

user-centric solutions from prototype to production.

• Raise the Bar: Champion engineering excellence via automated testing, CI/CD,

analytics, and performance monitoring.

• Secure the Trust: Ensure end-to-end data safety, especially for sensitive operations like

payments, KYC, and transaction processing.

We are looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on Android development experience

• Mastery of Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack

• Deep experience with Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, and modularization

• Proven track record building offline-capable apps with local persistence (Room/SQLite) and

sync logic

• Solid grasp of concurrency (Coroutines/Flow), background processing, and network

optimization

• Familiarity with Play Store publishing, A/B testing, and performance tooling

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in fintech, e-commerce, logistics, or B2B SaaS

• Familiarity with Compose (we’re migrating incrementally)
