Position Overview



As a Business Development Representative is to be the front line to the field sales team by actively prospecting, cold calling into defined segments, updating CRM (Salesforce), and providing value leads/ opportunities to the direct sales team. The Business Development Representative will work with a defined process and be expected to nurture accounts through various stages. You turn the Cold into the Gold!



Key Responsibilities



Identify new opportunities for the sales team through targeted outbound cold calling and prospecting





Work in partnership with experienced Account Executives to build and maintain a large pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to support revenue targets and quota



Communicate with prospects that show an interest in our products and services



Know, understand, and present value proposition clearly and succinctly



Educate prospects on how our products and services can fulfil their current and future needs



Identify and map new prospect business issues to our products and services



Report on the success of marketing campaigns and provide the "what worked and what did not work" feedback



Communicate new product and service opportunities gathered through prospect/ field activity to appropriate company staff



Be a team player; share your knowledge and successes



Requirements



University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent



Possess a minimum of 1 year of proven success in the software industry using inbound and outbound prospecting as your primary success tools in a B2B sales environment



History of over- achieving quota



Strong written and verbal communications skills



Your most important asset is your ability to be personable but persuasive and to communicate convincingly over the phone



Skilled at overcoming objections



Proven successful history of being able to "get" to the right people



Strong business acumen



Excellent problem solving skills



Enjoy the challenge of developing new business



Outstanding client care skills



Creative thinker & process driven



Solution and ROI selling experience; strength in using solutions selling tactics



Salesforce.com experience is an asset



Open to work in North America Shift timings,
