The mission of TECHNOLOGY & OPERATIONS RISK is to deliver first-line defenses to manage risks to Firm technology, information and cyber threats through risk identification, control management and assurance. This allows the business to operate and grow in a secure and legally compliant manner.

The Enterprise Security Products (ESP) team is - amongst other things - responsible for developing and engineering the Firms core security controls. The technology and solution stack spans all Firm employees as well as external clients of the Institutional Security and Wealth Management Businesses. It consists of home-grown software, 3rd party software, open source products, appliances, and auxiliary services and solutions.





The successful candidate will work within ESP Devops Chapter to help drive Devops adoption across ESP Fleets/Squads. We are looking for a fungible, enthusiastic technologist with excellent communication skills and experience of developing applications in an enterprise environment with a passion for building scalable solutions. The successful candidate will help to evolve the way ESP squads build applications to drive standardization and improve consistency/efficiency through the adoption of Devops methodologies covering processes, organization and tooling. This is an ideal role for someone looking to broaden their experience in application development/delivery working in a complex, mission critical, security focused enterprise environment.



The candidate will be part of the global team with global responsibilities of the below:



Responsibilities:



Working with ESP Fleets/squads in a consulting capacity to help them identify and implement incremental improvements to their software delivery pipelines

Hosting workshops with squads/dissemination of information to develop a current state view of their Devops maturity/identify improvement opportunities

Collaborating with squads to develop a future state design and prioritization of tasks to make a measurable difference to their Devops maturity

Working with squads to become a trusted partner/member of the squad

Growing the skills of the individuals within the squad to be able to maintain any improvements beyond the scope of the engagement

Methodically work through problems and have a level of rigor around decision making and documentation

Evangelizing and teaching best practices to spread knowledge





Qualifications





Skills:





6 8 years of software development experience with as many of the Full-stack technologies (Python, JavaScript, Java, HTML) and REST API development

4 years of solid understanding of Python Object-Oriented design and programming concepts

3 years of experience in building scalable microservices / webservices

Experience in Public Cloud development

Knowledge of Software Architecture and Design patterns is a must

Comfortable of taking a hybrid role that requires both technical development skills in managing data as well as providing client-facing support for operational services and processes

Comfortable of working as an integral member of a global organization with team members, stakeholders, upper management and clients in different regions across Asia, EMEA and North America

Build tools to automate deployment pipelines. Understanding of CI-CD pipelines and work independently, driving projects end to end

Collaborate with team members in design reviews, development and code reviews

Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices and development methodologies.

Create documentation and procedures for development, deployment and maintenance

Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments

Skilled in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks

Evangelizes how technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective

Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions

Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team

Able to work under minimal supervision

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity

Skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members.
