Job Description
Define and Develop diverse engineering solutions for ground software. Development of Java based cloud native application using micro services, integration and testing of software. Development of engineering documentation and configuration management of software infrastructure.
The Engineer should have excellent communication skills to work across Boeing Global Engineering teams.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team.
The Engineer should have desire to work in all aspects of the product life cycle development process.
Solid programming knowledge on Java and cloud technologies.
Proficiency in building, integrating with,
and supporting Application Program Interfaces (APIs) using a variety of languages, data formats, and data transformations.
Strong understanding of DevOps and passion for quality and agility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience in building cloud native Java applications.
Hands on experience on micro-services and Java full-stack development.Strong knowledge on Java EE, web services (REST/ SOAP), micro services, ORM and Spring Boot.
Hands on experience of high performance software needs like high availability, low latency
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Good knowledge of relational databases.
Experience with test-driven development and DevOps environment.
Exposure to ALM tool suite like Jira, bamboo, confluence, etc.
Experience with containers and deployment on cloud platforms like Azure, PCF
Extensive experience on various testing framework: JUnit / TestNG, Cucumber and Mocking frameworks such as Mockito, EasyMock.
Exposure to full software development lifecycle is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or higher (CS, software engineering)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 or more years of programming experience, Master's degree with 7 or more years of experience; from an accredited course of study, in engineering.
