Bachelors in science , engineering or equivalent Responsibility:
Data Modeling In collaboration with the Sr data modeler, analyze the requirements and create a clarification list, if required.
Define data requirements based on understanding of the same.
In collaboration with the Sr data modeler, create conceptual model based on the understanding of the business processes.
Map KPIs to the conceptual model, if required.
Validate the conceptual model with Sr data modeler, SMEs etc.
Create a logical model (capturing the descriptions of entities, tables, columns etc) based on the conceptual model.
Create tables and relationships between the tables.
Map conceptual to the logical model to ensure the coverage.
Identify the entities and their properties.
Define the attributes and domain (data types).
Create physical model based on functional/ nonfunctional requirement for small and simple project.
Seek review inputs from the Sr data modeler on the logical and physical model.
Define the data dictionary/ business glossary based on the model developed, if required.
Define the data governance model to ensure the data quality.
Interact with SMEs (business) and architect to validate whether the data model is aligned with the technology suggested for the project.
Interact with the Architect to gather reporting requirements and create models based on the same.
Participate in Data Model Health Assessments.
Assist Sr Data Modeler in creation of questionnaires, analyze the ASIS data model for data structure, conformance to industry standards, best practices and make recommendations for solution/roadmap.
Provide technical guidance to the design/ development team in understanding the data model and creating the data mapping documents.
Innovation & Thought Leadership.
Understand trends in emerging business needs and technology to identify trends in the data modeling.
Provide support/ inputs to the Sr Data Modeler in creation of new idea (eg industry standard data model, POVs, data modeling standards etc ).
Create and update knowledge articles (industry Point of View, Case studies, lessons learnt document etc) in the knowledge management repository.
Maintain knowledge management database.
Conduct training / certifications with the help of academy and mentoring with respect to data models.
Conduct technical, face to face interviews with candidates and support recruitment process.
