Reporter cum sub-editor – International business and finance magazine

Applications with CV and writing samples are invited to the position of Reporter cum Sub Editor for an international business and finance magazine with its editorial office at MG Road, Bangalore. Freshers are also welcome to apply for the position.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include daily reporting and copy editing for the website as well as reporting and features and analysis writing for the bi-monthly magazine. Needs to complete quota of stories for the day and for the bi-monthly magazine through desk-based reporting.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Required:

1 to 3 years of work experience in reporting (can be desk-based reporting) covering global business.

Good grasp of business and finance terms and terminology

Good copy-editing skills

News for nose and the ability to spot trends globally

Ability to generate story ideas

Persistence to follow up leads and sources and come up with stories by the deadline

The ability to cultivate contacts globally

Strong command over English language with no faults in sentence construction or grammar

Familiar with the fundamentals of online reporting and writing

Ability to manage desk operations with minimum supervision



Job Type: Full-time



Salary: ₹22,015.00 - ₹42,898.00 per month
