Role Objective

We are looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer who will play a critical role in supporting our current Snowflake environment and leading efforts during an upcoming migration to Azure. This will be a highly relied-upon position within the team.

Experience Level

- Senior-level profile with approximately 5+ years of experience.
- Solid ownership mindset; this role will carry a significant portion of the responsibility.
- Ability to mentor and train a secondary (more junior) resource.

Key Responsibilities

First 6–7 months (Primary focus on Snowflake):

- Support and manage existing Snowflake data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues reported by the business (mostly support and maintenance rather than new table creation).
- Manage and maintain DBT pipelines.
- Support and maintain Python scripts used by the business.
- Code management and deployments through GitHub.

Mid-term / Migration phase:

- Actively support the migration from Snowflake to Azure.
- Work with Azure SQL.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric is a plus and expected to grow over time.





Availability & Working Hours

- East Coast (EST) working hours are required.
- Preferably available beyond noon EST.
- Flexibility is important for:
- After-hours support
- Weekend or emergency coverage when needed
- This is critical due to past challenges with limited vendor availability during incidents.

Location

- Primary resource: Offshore (e.g., India).

Project Timeline

- Estimated project duration: 6–7 months (subject to refinement).
- Target start: ASAP, with approximately 30 days for transition and handoff from the current vendor.
- Interview process:
- Typically one interview (panel-style if needed).
- In some cases, a second interview may be added.

Certifications

- Certifications are not required.
- Practical, hands-on experience is the priority.
