We are seeking a team member to support onboarding, ongoing education, and quality improvement for our remote coding team.

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver training programs for medical coders covering ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines. Create and maintain training materials, presentations, job aids, and reference guides tailored to adult learners. Support onboarding and orientation of new coders, including system navigation, workflow education, and guideline application. Conduct refresher training and targeted education based on audit findings, error trends, or regulatory updates. Review coded cases for educational purposes and provide constructive, actionable feedback. Collaborate with coding leads, managers,



and CDI teams to identify knowledge gaps and training needs. Stay current with coding guideline changes, payer policies, and industry best practices to ensure training content remains accurate and relevant. Assist with competency assessments, skills evaluations, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

Qualifications

One or more of the following certifications required: CIC, CCS, COC, CPC (additional credentials such as CCDS or CPMA preferred). Minimum 3–5 years of recent medical coding experience. Strong proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS. Prior experience training, mentoring, or educating coders strongly preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
