Your Role and Responsibilities



- We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to join IBM Resiliency Services

- At IBM Resiliency Services, we are the world’s leading provider of resiliency services, protecting our client’s data and applications and helping them recover quickly when required.

As we move towards more cloud based solutions, a key element in facilitating this is visualizing the look and feel of the solutions and ensure that we provide a compelling user experience to our clients. We are looking at a Senior UX Designer to be part of this team to deliver outstanding client experience.

- The candidate will get to work on the most cutting-edge and exciting projects and interact with the brightest minds (including Distinguished Engineers and Senior Technical Staff Members from across the globe). He/she would be working closely with other designers, Product Managers and product developers.

- In this role, the candidate will be responsible for UX design of the IBM Resiliency Orchestration product. The product is a cutting edge Disaster Recovery orchestrator, helping IBM enterprise customers protect their critical workloads from disasters and cyber attacks. The product is heterogeneous and works across the entire enterprise IT stack and hybrid multi-cloud environments, making it an exciting and challenging opportunity for the designer to provide a seamless experience across a complex and diverse landscape.



Responsibilities:



- Oversee the development of organisational models, sitemaps, process/screen flows, navigational models and interactive behaviours, and wireframes; present deliverables to senior clients

- Think big - see and guide the big picture vision that ensures the ideal end user experience.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders with a confident point of view on Experience Design

- Identify opportunities to create business value and improve the customer experience (based on user research); organise opportunities into visually compelling matrices or maps and user journey stories

- Thrive where complex business goals, product design and development, interaction design, current and emerging technologies, marketing and brand strategy converge.

- Lead stakeholder interviews; lead large client workshops to communicate insights from stakeholder interviews; work with teams to achieve alignment on key success factors

- Define best practices and standards related to persona development/behavioural segmentation; coach teams to align personas/segmentation with client/project objectives

- Oversee and provide thought leadership in the assessment of existing sites/apps/digital properties and experiences for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding

- Lead storytelling and oversee the development of customer journeys/user scenarios and ensure that they are derived appropriately from behavioural segments/user profiles; ensure that scenarios respond to key user needs and illustrate key business opportunities

- Lead participatory requirements gathering activities, including the analysis and synthesis of requirements definition; present feature lists and requirements documents to senior clients

- Lead the creation of visually compelling representations of the solution’s high-level interaction, navigation, and organisation design (i.e., concept models)

- Estimate, plan, and lead all Experience Design work (across all sub domains, including Visual Design, Information Architecture, Content Strategy, and Interactive Development) in the development of a quality solution for large and complex projects

- Collaborate with strategy and business development teams; execute and manage creative aspects of sales pursuits, including: shaping and responding to opportunities, proposal creation, and orals presentations

- Identify the tools, templates and techniques that evolve existing approaches for the larger creative community at IBM

Required Technical and Professional Expertise



- Experience designing digital experiences and leading experience design teams with a proven track record of success

- Solid confident verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients and co-workers

- Knowledge of web, mobile and emerging experiences, with proven conceptual and design abilities

- Candidates must be well- versed in user-centered design methods and techniques

- Must possess a deep understanding in related creative tracks: design, interactive development, copywriting and content strategy

- Proficient to expert in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Microsoft Office





Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise



- 8+ year’s experience designing digital experiences and leading experience design teams with a proven track record of success

- Strong point-of-view of where and how Experience Design is evolving towards including how consumers interact with devices, environments, immersive content, and commerce now and in the future

- Solid confident verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients and co-workers

- Knowledge of web, mobile and emerging experiences, with proven conceptual and design abilities

- Candidates must be well- versed in user-centred design methods and techniques

- Must possess a deep understanding in related creative tracks: design, interactive development, copywriting and content strategy

- Proficient to expert in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Visio, Microsoft Office

- Must have been in a client-facing role and have project experience in working with teams on large scale, long-term projects

- Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills

- Excellent writing skills

- Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment”

- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of design experience and at least 5 years in software UX design
