Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Development Manager who will help us in the digital transformation of eFreight Suite through a world-class product focused on quality and the customer. The role involves working with key business stakeholders and product teams to deliver internal and customer-facing products using modern technology stack and agile principles.

The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating challenges in building a world-class product team in a fast-paced environment while implementing strategies and processes that enable the organization to innovate and grow. The teams are located in Bangalore and Chennai, working with cross-functional teams globally across regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that the projects are delivered on time and with quality. Create and manage the Agile development process for the teams. Act as a servant leader including facilitation, situational awareness, and conflict resolution.

Product development oversight, in addition to management and team oversight. Facilitate daily stand-ups, monitor sprint progress, coach and mentor the team in agile frameworks and principles, and fostering the team’s ability to self-organize

Supports a culture of continuous process improvement through retrospectives and key indicators around team performance. Promote transparency and team empowerment across teams

Ensures clear communication and organization of all strategic andteam goals

Excellent knowledge in emerging, modern platforms and tools, using the correct product where appropriate, especially open source and open standards.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelors/Masters degree. Should possess at least 13+ years of work experience as a Development Manager in developing and maintaining enterprise-scale products

Should have proven experience in managing distributed teams and have demonstrable delivery and project management experience

Prior work experience in the Logistics / Supply Chain, ERP industry is an advantage

Excellent communication skills, including an ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Demonstrated experience in working with multiple stakeholders and be overall responsible for delivery that meets business objectives

Demonstrated experience in working with executive/senior management

Experience from working in an agile development methodology. Experience with Agile Development, JIRA Agile process, Dashboards

Able to relate to both technical and non-technical people and to negotiate within the allowable parameters of the product to get the best outcome for the business. Experience in Analytics is an added advantage

Versatile experience with delivering large-scale SaaS-based enterprise products in HA environmentson multiple technology stacks in public clouds, and private clouds.

Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Angular/react, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Micro Services, AWS Serverless, Oracle, MySQL, API/EDI integrations, NoSQL, Exposure to AI/ML and Python

Nice to have skills:

Understanding of logistics industry or Supply chain, 3PL, ERP domain

Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, Kanban, and Agile, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc
