Position Summary

Our growing Cyber Security Company is looking for Project Manager to work with a highly skilled team of network engineers to manage the companies projects around the networks and services provided within these networks.

The Project Manager is a critical role in the IT Network Operations and Engineering team. The Project Manager will provide oversite to multiple project work streams. This role will represent IT Network Operations and Engineering team in project and program planning discussions, project and program tracking, budgeting, billing and procurement as it relates to the team.

The ideal candidate will be a Manager that has exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to dig into the details and collaborate closely with a variety of different stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and can perform professionally in a challenging and extremely fast-paced environment. This role is to own and build a function in a new location.

Essential Functions

- Develop, manage, maintain and report on project/program plans within the IT Network Engineering and Operations Team.

- Develop, manage and report on budgets and expenses for the team.

- Work with teams members to get project/program status and update project status documentation on a weekly basis.

-  Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members

- Work with team vendors for obtaining cost quotes for hardware/software/renewals and submit purchase requests for these purchases

- Work with internet circuit provider vendors with billing/invoicing and work and accounting team to assure that Purchase Orders and payments are being made to vendors in a timely and efficient way

- Work closely with other project managers from other IT teams to coordinate overall IT strategy for projects and programs and assure IT is work closely together as a unit to achieve overall goals and objectives within time and expense budgets

- Works on and maintains team policy/procedure documentation and assures that team is compliant with company reuirements and certification requirements

- Work closely with project managers and/or management to articulate QA results so that decisions can be made based on quantifiable QA test data and the potential risks from elements like test holes, labs or boundary conditions

- Monitor status of all team projects/programs and alert managers as to when there are problems/issue, etc that may affect overall progress/delays for the project/programs

- Be an independent worker that works under minmal supervision to perform project manager function

- Be a person willing to take initative and offer up ways to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productiveness of the Project Manager rols and the projects/progams under management

- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPI) and milestones for team member performance and project/program performance

- Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential

- Is able to prioritize projects/programs and personnel working these projects/programs to meet timelines and cost constraints

- Be able to provide Project manager responsibilities across global team of network engineers scattered across multiple time zones

Desired Education, Experience and Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field.

- Experience working with SAP.

- PMP, PMI-ACP, and ITIL-V3 Certifications preferred

- Experience in managing people and vendors

- Experience working project manager duties and responsibilities in the IT industry

- Exceptionally strong communication skills, including experience effectively communicating with senior management

- Experience working in high-growth, performance-focused environments

- In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of business processes.

- Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams.

- Willingness to work in a collaborative environment.

- Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.

- Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

- Advanced in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook

- Experience working with Project Management software such as SmartSheet, Microsoft Project, etc

- Proven history of thriving in a fast-paced environment, while dealing with ambiguity.
