About the team
Worldpayu2019s eComm Engineering branch specialises in delivering online payment services to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team and take our systems to the next level.
Operating within a collaborative SAFe environment, we strive to deliver effective solutions for our customers using our evolving payment platform.
We are looking for proactive team players who would like to work in the Fintech sector, with likeminded individuals that want to develop robust and scalable applications for the growing market.
The role involves -
Writing efficient code and documenting it as per the design specification of module/component.
Unit Testing, debugging, and maintaining code in oneu2019s own development environment Preparing support documentation for other programmers, users of the system and associated support services.
Assist analysts and/or designers in researching and documenting the users' requirements & design
Preparation and maintenance of design documents and other software development related artifacts.
Ensuring the compliance of best coding and engineering practices of software development as defined by team.
To interact with QA for Build Management & Bug Tracking.
Support the development team to setup the environment.
Team Player -Ability to work well in a team. Carrying out own part and helping to pull and achieve as a team
Good decision making & Problem-Solving skills - Investigates the problem along with team members by questioning to get at the root of it and generates alternatives for solving the problem.
Technical Skills Required
Strong knowledge of Core Java and Object-oriented programming concepts and principles.
Strong experience in design and development of highly scalable system capable of handling transactions processing in the payment card industry built using Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring REST, ORM - Hibernate or JPA and other J2EE frameworks.
Experience in Web Services, preferably REST APIs (XML, JSON).
Demonstrated implementation in application security using OAuth2, OIDC.
Experience in following best Coding, Security, Unit testing and Documentation standards and practices and have sound knowledge of Sonarqube, Checkmarx etc.
Experience with No SQL database like Dynamo DB.
Experience with build management systems like - Maven, Gradle.
Additional skills required
Proficiency with GIT, Agile practices, JIRA, Confluence is preferred.
Ability to design, develop and implement scalable, elastic microservice based platforms
Hands on experience on Design Patterns
Strong payment domain knowledge
Strong experience of developing/managing the entire payment lifecycle
Well versed with CI/CD principles, and actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem using Jenkins.
Good knowledge of open source monitoring and troubleshooting tool like Sysdig.
Good knowledge on performance testing of web application with tools like Jmeter.
Good knowledge of building, changing, and versioning infrastructure using terraform.
Responsibilities and KRAs:
Drawing up detailed Technical design including charts and diagrams that showcase various components involved
Writing efficient code and document it as per the design specification of software component.
Establish overall CI pipeline management in close coordination with team and cross platform teams.
Validate application by Identifying existing architecture weakness and find opportunities to process re-engineering and perform cost benefit analysis
