The company has a strong presence in the global market and is expanding its manufacturing operations, including a new plant near Foxconn's facility in Devanahalli, Bengaluru, India
Role Description
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing local suppliers, executing sourcing strategies, managing price negotiations, and establishing a stable supply chain for Hyvision Systems India. This role oversees vendor evaluation, PO management, cost analysis, and quality/lead-time control.
Qualifications
Experience with Korean/Japanese manufacturing companies.
Experience sourcing automation equipment (CNC, CMM, SMT).
Strong data management and reporting skills.
Key Responsibility
Develop local vendors for machining, sheet metal, frames, profiles, FA parts,
pneumatics, and sensors.
Perform cost analysis and lead price negotiations to achieve cost-down targets.
Manage PO issuance, delivery follow-up, supplier communication, and issue resolution.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
Manage NDA, contracts, and compliance with procurement standards.
Maintain vendor master lists, cost breakdown sheets, and dashboards.
Collaborate with HQ Korea and global subsidiaries on sourcing activities.
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing or automation.
Strong understanding of machining, sheet metal, CNC, and FA components.
Strong negotiation skills and cost reduction capability.
Proficiency in Excel and ERP (P2P) systems.
Robust English communication; Korean language is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple suppliers across fast-paced projects.
